Great Value Hotel Finds and Tips for Luxury Travel.
Do you love the adventure of travel and staying in luxury-like hotels without the luxury cost? And do you have the travel bug (passion for traveling)?
I always have. Like you, it may be the love for adventure of new sights, sounds, smells, and culture. Or just a curiosity. It’s exciting either way. I actually get giddy like a schoolgirl when I’m planning to visit a new place. If this sounds like you, please keep reading! I created this blog to share my good and great travel experiences. You can discover my unique places and hotels to visit and stay, where I would return visit without hesitation.
This is not another blog about “what to do” and “what to see” around the world, as there are a sea of blogs out there on those topics. You and I won’t be the first to have visited most of these amazing places (but, if it’s a specific hidden gem I’d wanna know about, I’m not shy to share it with you here). My goal is to recommend great customer service, high value hotel places, and valuable modern tips on travel, that could help make, or simply enhance your travel experience (as let’s be truthful, parts of travel and travel planning can sometimes be a hassle). It’s worth it all in the end when you experience great things and share photos with your friends, that they could envy or be jealous of you for.
Where did my travel passion come from?
Since you’re still here, let me share a few things about me that make me so passionate about travel. I got my first real taste of travel on a vacation tour around Europe with my family when I was 11 years old. My dad was a trained architect, so we visited and marveled at the beauty of intricate works of significant historical wonders mostly in the US and Europe. While kids my age were playing and working on hobbies, I was at antique and old painting auction houses with my parents. So naturally I learned about the famous classic painters and column styles before I was a teenager. Since then, I’ve learned to appreciate not only beauty, art and buildings, but also good food, and culture on my travel adventures.
In addition to art and architecture, I have an insider perspective from a “trained eye” experience. I started out my career having worked in catering sales management for several hotels and even more restaurants in the Washington DC area. This footing gave me a nice sense of what is great food, service, and a place worth a try. Having worked ‘behind the scenes’ in fine hotels and restaurants, I can see through ‘smoke and mirrors’ pretty quickly, site unseen, and don’t want to settle for less than adequate ever again. As a consumer like you, I want the best value and luxury where I go. I want unique experiences, convenience, no hassles, and great customer service… and want to share with you these great value hotel, restaurant, travel tips and finds.
